Black tights - Primark
Hi! So it's finally time for my first blog post! I hope you like this outfit and and enjoy reading my blog in the future; I've decided I will be posting on Monday's and Thursday's so be sure to check back then if you don't follow me! I also want to point out that I'm not a professional and don't own a professional camera so the pictures won't be of the greatest quality but I hope you don't mind! (I don't exactly have extra money lying around to afford a new camera!)...
Tartan came through with a bang last year and it's definitely a look that will be staying in my wardrobe for a long while! Whilst still following the crowd and going mad about tartan; I've been more attracted to different coloured prints because I find these easier to style and different to the standard red. I paired this green-toned tartan print skirt with a deep burgundy jumper, afterall it's winter and far too cold to wear anything other than a big cosy jumper!
I love the way the different textures interlink; the cable knit pattern on the jumper, the tartan print of the skirt and the silver zips topped with a leather jacket. This leather jacket particularly caught my eye because it has embroidered shoulder details making it stand out from the rest. It's my go-to jacket, a timeless piece. The same can be said for my bag; I haven't changed bag all winter! But it's good to change once in a while; I find I accumulate far too much rubbish in mine!

Something I really love is accessorizing. No matter how dull your outfit may be adding a necklace or a pair of earrings can transform the look completely! I wore a plain silver Parfois necklace, some silver H&M rings and my Pandora bracelet. I also wore a black Daniel Wellington watch; if you've seen any before you'll notice mine has a much smaller face (again, following the crowd but in a slightly different way).
*Queue the "I'm so happy people are staring at me on the streets" pose*

Great first outfit post! Btw your pictures are lovely and clear so you have nothing to worry about.
ReplyDeleteI also prefer different colour tartan prints as opposed to the standard red, I agree they are much easier to style! :)

Thank you so much! That's so sweet of you, it's always tricky posting something that so many people have already worn and are still wearing as everybody has mixed opinions. Glad you liked it though :) X
DeleteAnother great post! I love that skirt, what was the sizing like as I always feel like Missguided skirts come up small? I have just published a new post, check it out if you fancy a read! http://0ldtricks.blogspot.co.uk/ x
ReplyDeleteThank you lovely! I usually have that problem, my waist is smaller than my hips/thighs so with bodycon skirts it's always so difficult to get the right size but surprisingly this one fit really well! Will do :) X
DeleteWow !! I love your blog its great :D
