Black tights - Primark
Black large shopper bag - H&M
I don't want to bombard your feeds with yet another Valentine's Day look, but I don't want to be completely oblivious to it, so this post will be my take on a casual Valentine's Day look. A day time look that is easy to wear and not too dramatic. On this occasion I also thought a bright red door as a background was suitable. Afterall, when it comes to Valentine's Day red is the colour...
Faux leather is basically everywhere; whether it be in the form of footwear, bags or clothing. So it's very hard to create a look that doesn't feature a single leather look item. In this outfit I have 3! Starting with my bag which is a standard large black shopper bag; usually I keep this bag for university as it's so big and easy to carry - it fits all my books and laptop perfectly. Onto my boots, these are great in the winter, they're practical and have a faux shearling trim, I'm trying to avoid plain old boring black boots.
I don't know if it's the size I bought or because it'a an A-line skirt, but I find that it rides up all the time, I'm constantly pulling it down which is a pain! Nevertheless, I really like the quilted finish, it adds a beautiful texture. To compliment the skirt I wore a faux shearling jumper, it's a cropped one which means it tucks into skirts better - without too much excess fabric making the skirt look bumpy. I bought it in light pink for a change to my usual dark winter colours. In a predominantly all black look it adds a burst of colour.
I finished the look with a black coat which is perfect in the winter! I wore quite a few of accessories with this outfit. Starting with a pair of gold H&M hoop earrings, a Primark statement necklace and a stack of gold H&M rings. I also wore a rose gold Michael Kors bracelet and matching rose gold Michael Kors watch which is my everyday watch but hasn't made much of an appearance on my blog yet!
