Casual Tartan

This is one of my casual looks for the transition between winter and spring. Some days the weather is great, the sun is shining and London looks happy but then there are other days when the rain is pouring down and London looks gloomy. Today was one of those inbetween days. It wasn't raining but the sun wasn't shining either so it calls for a kind of safe outfit. I love wearing converse as they're so comfy and I feel a denim jacket adds something to the outfit, especially this one because it has a green tint to it...

These joni jeans have appeared far too often on my blog now haha, I guess I have been really loving them this winter! I love the fact they're high waisted most of all, I always use it as an opportunity to wear a crop top and I love this one from Topshop because it has a subtle knitted stripe detail all the way through it, the sleeves are long and are folded over so they always sit lower than my jacket sleeve which I really like.

I guess I'm still mad about tartan too! This time I wore tartan in a less obvious way; the scarf is a particular type of tartan (it has a name) but I can't remember anymore.. because I bought it in Scotland I think it's "legit" tartan, I don't even know if that makes any sense haha. Basically, I liked the colours so I chose this scarf which happens to be tartan - how very on trend of me.

With a simple look I usually like to pile on the jewellery. When you're wearing a jumper and jeans combo adding jewellery can make it seem like you put in so much more effort! My favourite things at the moment are probably rings; I wore an assortment of rings with this: a gold snake H&M ring, some chunky gold H&M rings and gold Forever 21 rings. I also added a a recent purchase of mine, this H&M necklace and of course some thin gold H&M hoops.

    1. I didn't know what else to say haha! My flatmate said that apparently (in Scotland) you're not allowed to wear other people's tartan, because each family has their own type of tartan.. how weird! My uncle's family have their own tartan to their name and stuff it's actually really interesting haha! X

    2. P.s. Next time we take photos make sure my hair is on the front of my body because in the majority of the other pictures we took I look like a giraffe. So not cool.
