First Day of Spring

It's the first day of spring today! I'm so glad that from now the weather will hopefully be looking up and we can count on seeing the sun much more! The weather this weekend was great but it's looking a bit cloudy  again, I hope it doesn't stay like this for long. I don't mind it being a bit colder during the week anyway, it makes university life much more bearable - I think if I were sitting in a lecture and could see the sun shining outside I'd be incredibly demotivated to work! Shall we talk about what I'm wearing now...

I love the whole pastel feel of this look, as soon as pastels became a clear hit for spring time I got myself some pastel essentials to fill my wardrobe. Spring/summer is all about light and drifting away from black - so pastels are the perfect trend. I went onto the Missguided website and fell in love with so many pieces! I also didn't realise until finding the links later that I had styled this look very similarly to how they did on their website! The team at Missguided and I must have similar taste haha!

I adore fluffy textures so this crop top was a must for me, it's white which is easy to wear with anything really - especially pastels. It will also be a great piece which I can wear throughout the year; I think it's important to buy some pieces that work all-year round. This jumper is fab in the winter because it's cold and the fluffy texture is really soft and warm, and even in the summer when you go for a night time walk by the sea it can get a bit chilly so to have a super soft cropped jumper at hand is great.

As soon as I saw these shorts I thought "mine", I love pink haha - such a stereotypical girl. Whenever I'm asked I always say it's my favourite colour but I don't wear it often because I feel it can look really childish but these shorts are beautifully high waisted so a crop top makes them look slightly more edgy (as edgy as pastel pink can be). They're a really lightweight fabric too which is perfect for summer.

How cute is my clutch!? I can't get over it, it's such a gorgeous shade and it's a Primark piece so clearly a bargain! I wore a pair of nude shoes as I find they're more comfortable during the day in the heat. Accessory wise I wore gold New Look hoops, a gorgeous floral River Island necklace, in a beautiful lilac colour - perfect for spring. I wore my chunky gold GUESS watch, spiked gold Topshop bracelet, gold beaded Michael Kors bracelet, and piled on gold Forever 21 rings and gold H&M rings to complete the look. The sun called for some sunnies too! These are a cheap pair from Primark, I really loved their range of sunglasses. Looks like I'm loving Primark!
