Sunday usually calls for a different type of post and today's has a Mother's Day theme; some of us may be looking for inspiration on what to give to the special lady in our lives. Mothering Sunday is the perfect time to spoil our lovely mums and thank them for all the hard work they've done (I'm sure we've all been a handful one time or another in our lives). I've put together a few ideas which I think are a lovely way to say a big thank you to mum and spoil her rotten...
Breakfast in bed - What's better than treating someone to breakfast in bed, we all love it, so why not be the one making breakfast for an extra special person on a special day. Either a full english breakfast or some pancakes with berries.. let your culinary skills do the talking.
Spa day - Who doesn't like a good pamper sesh? And what could be more perfect than heading down to a spa for a treatment, there's so much to choose from (in terms of places to go and treatments to get), you'll be spoilt for choice; it's the perfect way to unwind.
Gift a scented candle - I think everybody loves a good candle, I know I do and my mum does too! Opt for lavender for a relaxing scent.
1. L'Occitane // 2. Diptyque // 3. Jo Malone

Flowers & Chocolates - Come on, this combination can steal anybody's heart! It's the simplest way to please anybody: the flowers look pretty and the chocolates taste good! What more could you want?!
Spend the day with mum - It isn't always about the materialistic things, as we grow older we spend less times with our mums because we're growing up and sometimes other commitments get in the way. So if you're one of those people who can't spend a lot of time with your mum, why not use Mother's Day as the perfect opportunity to spend the day with mum doing whatever you both like doing. Enjoy each others company.
My lovely mum.
