I'm back in London for the week which means a lot of blogging and catching up to do! Yesterday I was invited to Matalan's A/W14 Press Day, it was the first I'd ever been to one and it was great to have a little peak at what's to come from Matalan - but more on that in a few weeks. For now, I have this look to show you. I wore this yesterday to a confirmation and as it was on Wednesday, and the weather has been rubbish, I opted for a dressed up trouser look rather than a dress. Now about the outfit...
I really made the most out of the return of "on Wednesday's we wear pink", I'm a big fan of pink - particularly in this look, I went overboard on the pink haha but I do think the amount of pink is just right but to be fair, I never think there's too much pink! So my pink items were a neon pink cami, my favourite pink leather jacket and these new lace-up heels. How many times did I say pink in this paragraph?! Haha!
I then went for these faux leather trousers, which I've blogged before and I said I wasn't too sure about them and now I think I've decided that I just don't like them! I really don't like the way they fit, they sit at the hips which I don't like and they look so baggy! I hate the way the fabric bunches all over my legs - I think I'll be looking for a tighter pair now. I also added this blazer because the array of colours work with so many items.
I got this gorgeous cut out clutch at the Matalan press day - I didn't have the perfect black clutch but I think I've found it, and again, unintentionally! My pink leather jacket was a chance find and now this clutch has come into my life without me even looking for it. I also received this gorgeous bracelet which has been beautifully engraved with my name. It's such a gorgeous, delicate piece. As I have quite small wrists the fact you can bend the bar to suit your wrist and then pull on the strings means it fits perfectly (nothing I hate more than bangles that reach half way down my hand.
How do you like to wear pink? What do you think of the look?
