I was looking over these photos and couldn't help but think how sophisticated
this look is. I do like to sometimes smarten up a bit and dress slightly
smarter, I feel like it's good practice for when I become a grown up and have
to head off to work and meetings etc. but of course I'm still young so it's
with a twist! Here's my take on a smarter look...
I bought these polka dot trousers because I really wanted to get my hands on
some trousers with a cool print, I had a floral pair that I just wasn't too
keen on so I ended up returning those and swapping them over for these ones. I
thought the flower ones just looked like curtains or something, I just
couldn't pull them off, so I opted for a fun polka dot print instead. I think
it's fun to add prints and colours to your outfit.
To steer away from a complete style overhaul, I kept it short and simple
(literally) with a fluffy crop top. I love this texture, I went on about it
all winter and I think it's still acceptable to wear because it does get a bit
chilly sometimes and it is a cropped jumper after all. I paired this with a
pair of court heels; now these aren't the nicest pair of heels but because I'm
tall I tend to steer away from a huge heel in the fear of becoming a giant
among my friends but blogging, and a tall boyfriend, have led me to become
slight more confident about wearing higher heels.
Check out this beauty of a bag! Can you believe it's Primark! I am well and
truly impressed with their stuff at the moment. This bag caught my eye first
of all, because of the bold colour and second of all because it reminded me so
much of a Zara bag that was around last year. It isn't identical to it as the
Primark version has the added gold bar and the bag is a solid texture rather
than patterned but none the less I love it! My retro sunglasses also made it
to this post. New loves? I think so.

P.S. The
Cosmopolitan blog awards
have opened, I know it's a bit of a pain as all these award nominations are
so close together but it would mean so much to be nominated by you in the
"Best new fashion blog" category, you can so
here. Let me know if you do, thank you <3
