This look is basically made up of some of my current favourite items. I love each piece in this post and I've blogged about them all at least once before, apart from the skirt which is a new purchase, which just goes to show how much I really love these pieces. It may look like a lot is going on but I don't even care, I love every single item that makes up this look and I think it's fun to experiment with clothes! This is how I styled my favourite pieces in spring...
I don't think I even need to say anything about this leather jacket, the images should speak for themselves. Aside from it being an absolute bargain find, it'a a beautiful pastel pink which is perfect for spring - it earned its very own dedicated post: finding a leather jacket (coloured edition). I think I should mention my bag too; how often have you seen this black bag? I did say it's my favourite and so it remains.. it also got its own post: the perfect black bag. So these two items are clear winners when it comes to some of my favourites. I'm pretty sure I've blogged this crop top time and time again, I just love it; it's so fluffy and cosy I never want to take it off (but of course I do). I'm a bit sad that I won't be able to wear it as much in the summer but the weather at the moment has been pants so I'm still wearing a fluffy jumper in the spring! Although I'm not complaining when it's as cosy as this one.
I am in love with this skirt. As soon as I saw it I knew I needed it, I found it when River Island was doing 20% student discount (wowza!) but they didn't have my size! I asked if it was available in a 6 and was told there was one left. My friend and I went on a hunt around the store and believe me, I was ready to pounce if I saw someone with it, in true Confessions of a Shopaholic style. But unfortunately it just wasn't there so I went to order it at the till but it was sold out online! Just my luck.. I simply couldn't leave without getting it so I bought a size 8. The next day my friend and I went for a photoshoot experience at the Broadway Studios (it's rubbish, I wouldn't recommend it!) in Wimbledon and I still had my heart set on this skirt so we googled the closest River Island and amidst the rail of beautiful skirts there was a size 6! I cannot tell you how happy I was and I wore it that same day #truestory
Anyway, after that long and probably pointless story (but those few hours without this skirt in my life were seriously hard times for the fashion lover in me), onto the jewellery! I accessorized with gold and some new rings which I love; I think the blue stone is really bright and fun for spring. I also wore my black boots and frilly socks because I think they're cute - even if you can't really see them. I did brave it and opt for no tights but the weather at the moment is so temperamental so it's always a risk to go bare legged!

Haha! You should, I honestly love it so much - I'll use any excuse to wear it :) It seems to have made a reappearance on the Matalan website but when I went to click on it, it didn't work, but hopefully they have more stock and it's back on sale for you! X
DeleteHaha that story is definitely something I'd do too.
