When ASOS Fashion Finder got in touch and asked whether I would like to be a part of their party edit of course I said yes! I was challenged to put together a Christmas party look and got to pick some bits from Missguided to put together my idea outfit. For me, when I think Christmas I instantly associate it with the colour red (maybe because Santa is red?) so whilst browsing through some of the latest bits I came across this oxblood red dress, it isn't your standard bright red and I think that's what I love about it! It's more of a deep purple but still doesn't stray too far from the traditional Christmas red.
I opted for some oxblood strappy heels to match my dress and then went for a statement piece: the coat. It's gorgeous! I based my whole outfit around the coat because I instantly fell in love with it, it's just one of those statement pieces that you either fall in love with or absolutely hate, and I happen to love it! As my coat is such a statement I really wanted it to be the most eye catching, and boy is it eye catching! So in a bid to let my coat do the talking, I kept the base of my outfit a warm red in the Christmas spirit. Why not steer away from tradition and opt for an oxblood red rather than the cliché.
What do you think of faux-fur in the winter?
