Capes were, and still are, quite a big trend this season and now that it's starting to get much colder these definitely come in handy! I've loved wearing capes and blanket scarves over my outfits recently, especially whilst the weather has been kind to us which is why I keep wearing autumnal outfits during the winter months. But I know I'll still be reaching for my capes as it starts to get colder too as they're the perfect piece to throw over an outfit and still feel put together. I like the ideas of a cape replacing a chunky scarf for the I didn't even try look. I'm secretly hoping for some colder weather so I can really make the most of my winter-wear.
I absolutely love this cape from Blue Vanilla, it's reminiscent of the Burberry one which came about last winter I believe. I decided to go for something a little more casual looking with brown boots and a roll neck from Primark; Primark have some really great roll necks for such a good price and in so many colours too! I miss shopping in London when I'm away, it's just not the same here!! This week is my last week off before university officially kicks in and my second semester begins, I've been back for a couple of weeks already because of exams which has been a bummer but looking forward to starting the new term (and basically finishing my year abroad!)

LOVE your boots! I've just bought some similar in black. I'm also hoping for some colder weather - so sick of having to dress for rain.

Thanks Faye! They're amazing aren't they?! Oh gosh me too (although we say this now and when it's cold I bet we'll be complaining about wanting the winter to be over haha!) X
DeleteThis is such a lovely look! I don't own a patchwork cape myself but it's a piece that is definitely on the top of my wishlist. They look so cosy and warm!

You need one Margot! It doesn't even need to have a major design (sometimes harder to style) but even a simple one - it will do wonders to your A/W wardrobe X
DeleteYour cape reminded me of Burberry before I even read it! Love it!! x

DeleteI love this look! I made one of my own that turned out pretty amazing last year, but I haven't been able to wear it this year since I moved to Honolulu and it's too warm for it!
