I love a good midi skirt, I think it's the perfect mix of sophisticated whilst still being super feminine and quite sexy too. I have a lot of midi skirts and find they don't make it onto the blog a lot as it's something I wear on special occasions, where I often forget about blogging, but there is the odd photo here and there on Instagram. One thing I noticed was that all my midi skirts are saved for nights out, fancy dinners or parties and it seems like such a waste! So I grabbed this one from Miss Selfridge which I bought for Easter Sunday (you can see how I wore it on Instagram here) and has since been sitting in my wardrobe with no future in sight and decided I was going to make it work more casually. Now don't get me wrong, this isn't something I'd wear to run errands but it's just slightly toned down for maybe a lunch or to wear on holiday (minus the coat, London is still cold at the moment of course) I think this will allow me to get more wear out of my favourite midi skirts.
I paired this gorgeous skirt with a casual Tshirt from Daisy Street which is just so cute! I've worn it loads already and I'm sure it will be a summer staple piece, it's such a fun little Tshirt. I always wear heels with a midi in order to elongate my legs so I've gone for lace up sandals because I know I'll be wearing these non-stop over the next couple of months. Of course because I live in London, I had to drape a coat over my shoulders as it's currently getting colder rather than warmer - booo!
