Occasionwear with Dorothy Perkins

I ended last week with an occasionwear post (here) and asked you whether you'd like to see some more of this type of post, the feedback was pretty positive so I'm hoping that means you want to see more as that's exactly what I've got up my sleeve!

This time I've got an outfit that I think is perfect for the races. I love midi dresses, midi anything really, I think it's really flattering and feminine whilst still conservative thanks to the length. I'm wearing a gorgeous blush midi dress from Dorothy Perkins, it's super fitted which I love although the bust area is on the larger side (and sadly I don't have the bust to fill it!) so if you're like me and don't have too much up there then maybe look for a higher neck rather than a wrap around or low v.

I have a gorgeous pop of colour coming from my clutch as I'd hate to wear anything too out there; I've also got a pair of sunglasses as a lot of time is spent outside so a stylish way to shield your eyes doesn't go a miss. Strappy heeled sandals are a must for spring and these are honestly perfect, they're quite high but I don't mind because of the block heel they're still super easy to walk in. They just fit amazingly well, often I feel like my feet have too much room to roam in strappy shoes but with these I don't have a single problem.
