Andre and I have seriously discussed whether we should start a burger blog because it's something we both absolutely love! Having said that, I wouldn't say we're connoisseurs and we definitely haven't tried a huge variety of burger bars/restaurants (I think purely down to us being a bit lazy to travel anywhere far!) but we've given a few places a try and we've even started rating our burgers so we know which places to go back to and which to give a miss.
The lazy girl in me was looking for a nice restaurant nearby to have dinner with friends before I left for my year abroad and I came across Haché, with pretty good reviews and a burger menu I was pretty much sold so I booked a table and we headed down for a try. I absolutely loved it, it's my favourite burger place of the moment, it has been for a while - no other burger joint has topped it for me so far. So last week between shooting Maria and I popped in and got ourselves a window seat, the lighting was great (as opposed to in the evening when it's pretty dark in there) and the restaurant was quiet so I jumped at the opportunity to get a set of photos taken.
Drinks
There's something about burgers and milkshakes that I love and Haché has this covered, there are only three different skakes to choose from: strawberries and cream, oreo and nutella (my favourite!) as well as banana and peanut butter. Besides the shakes there are also soft drinks and a range of alcoholic drinks too but I don't tend to drink so I can't comment on whether the selection is good or not but there are plenty of wines and beers to choose from.Food
The best part! I'm a burger kinda gal, these guys offer three different ways to have your burger either with a salad, in a brioche bun or in ciabatta bread. I usually go for the brioche bun at dinner time but for a change I chose ciabatta bread although I have to say the brioche bun definitely wins in my eyes! The salad option simply isn't for me, but Maria had it and said it was great, it does looks pretty appetizing for a salad. Depending on what you fancy you can choose between a steak burger, chicken burger or their vegetarian option(s), there are constantly new and exclusive burgers popping up too; at the moment there's an aromatic duck burger and another called the Milano which is also a monthly special, there are constantly new burger recipes popping up.Sides include a variety of fries including sweet potato and potato wedges which come with two dips as well as onion rings, chicken wings and more. A must-try are the nachos, Andre and I start with these all the time, they're the perfect starter and just so damn good!
See their full menu here.
I'm such a huge fan of this place and I would really recommend a visit! I don't think there are many in London, 3-4 branches I believe, there's definitely one in Chelsea (this one) and another in Camden.
P.S. They also have a pretty good lunch deal: burger, fries and a drink for £9.95 - amazing!
What's your favourite burger joint at the moment?
the food looks amazing!
