Making Florals Work For You

Florals make a re-appearance every year come spring/summer, I wouldn't call it so much a marmite trend but I definitely think there are lovers and haters out there. I personally am a huge fan of florals and see myself gravitate towards them as soon as the sun starts to shine and the weather warms up a little. But, for those who aren't such avid fans of the pattern there's an easy way to get past it.

As soon as I spotted this dress on Topshop I knew I needed it, it's an edgy take on florals thanks to the black base. I chose to give it more of a girly edge with some nude heels from last year's Mango sale, but you could really make it so much edgier by adding a bold lip and heels, or even dress it down with a pair of trainers. I loved shooting this at an abandoned station in Portugal, I feel like this setting really mirrors what I'm saying here, you can take anything and just make it work for you. It's also worth mentioning that if you like this dress then I recommend you snap it up fast as it's majorly coveted and has already sold out once before (back in stock in tall).
