On Friday I stayed at the Ibis Hotel in Euston as I was kindly invited to Calvin Harris' gig at the Roundhouse in Camden for the Apple Music Festival. What a night! The gig was amazing and there were some other incredible supporting acts including John Newman and the Disciples so it was the perfect treat before heading back to university for my final year.
Onto the hotel, Ibis in Euston is a 3* hotel which you can tell by the rooms; in my opinion they're quite basic but have all the amenities you need, and free wifi which is obviously always a good thing! The beds are big and super comfy which felt heavenly after the concert. The room reminded me a lot of my first university room with the wooden desk, wardrobe and shelves. Our room was towards the back of the hotel so there really wasn't much of a view - if any - so that was a bit of a shame but we weren't staying there for the view. The bathroom was in a pod to the side of the room which was really cool, unlike anything I've seen before, with a shower and some toiletries too.
I would highly recommend the hotel if you're just passing through London or if you're looking for an affordable place to stay in London. Location wise, you can't beat it, with so many trains leaving from Euston and King's Cross nearby it's great for anybody travelling.
I also just had to pop in a photo of the meeting rooms available as they're just so colourful! I'd happily have meetings in one of these rooms any day.
