Gingham is a serious statement piece right now! I think every girl, and probably guy, has at least one gingham piece sitting in their wardrobe. I have about ten. When I think of gingham, I think cute summer's day wear but I wanted to toughen up the print a little and make it evening ready.
Gingham is a current favourite of mine and it would seem I'm not alone, I thought it was a trend I would quickly get over but it's most definitely not. I'm still adding so many new gingham pieces to my wishlist and really enjoying styling the print (watch my How To Style Gingham video here). I came across this gingham midi dress in New Look and thought it would be a great little addition to my summer wardrobe - which, if you saw my last post, you'll know is something I've already started doing - and you know when you buy something new and just want to wear it right away? Well, that's what happened so I started experimenting with what I had in my wardrobe so I could wear this now. Now I know this isn't groundbreaking. A leather jacket and strappy heels are hardly revolutionary but they're two staples in my wardrobe and another two items that I think we're all guilty of hosting in our wardrobes.
Also, quick little update - I don't think I ever got round to sharing my new upload schedule but I've decided to share a new blog post twice a week, on Tuesday's and Thursday's. And whilst I was hoping to be able to stick to my weekly upload schedule on YouTube, sadly that hasn't gone to plan. University has taken up a lot of my time (exams are in full swing!) and I just haven't had the time to create new content to share but I am hoping to get back into it soon.

They're such a staple in my wardrobe, I have them in nude too. I love the Primark ones as they're super affordable but Missguided and Public Desire do great ones too! X
