Come autumn you can expect to see the typical autumnal trends make a come-back, the addition of ankle boots is a must and I don't know about you, but knitwear is currently spewing out of my wardrobe. I'm always excited to see which new trends are going to be hitting the high street every season and this autumn there's a new trend on the block: the midi-maxi.
If there's a trend I think I'll love then I'm more than likely going to try it. I usually blame it on the ol' blog, saying to myself I simply need to try this - sometimes I fall in love and other times I find out I'm not so keen but I'm always open to experimenting.
I had spied a lot of these midi-maxi skirts over the last few weeks, they're not quite short enough to be classed as a midi in my opinion but they're also not long enough to be maxi's either and for lack of a better term, I've decided on naming these midi-maxi for now (until I learn the proper term for it that is). Whenever I'm trying something new I try to refrain from spending too much money. Yes, I could spot the most beautiful piece ever but if it doesn't suit me or I'm not sure of how much wear I'll get out of it, I think finding an affordable dupe is a much better alternative. That way, if you wear it loads and fall in love with the style - you'll know that if you spend more you're not wasting money.
I spotted this tiered ruffle skirt in Primark, Tottenham Road branch if you're wondering, and I loved it! Everything about this skirt screamed autumn to me, the ruffles, dark florals, and a length which allows me to cover up a little more but also still show a bit of leg whilst the weather permits. I had already come across others on River Island here and New Look here so when I came across this Primark bargain - only £13 - it went straight into my basket, and I also got the polka dot version too!

I just feel newly inspired with my wardrobe now that autumn has hit, my Instagram is currently flourishing with colourful knitwear, an array of ankle boots and lots of seasonal scenery to match.
I went through a bit of a style rut earlier on in the season so it feels good to have finally said goodbye to wearing black every. single. day. I've been loving the addition of prints to my wardrobe as well as brightly coloured jumpers and a lot less black. Join me on Instagram (@peexo) to see my daily looks!

This outfit is predominantly Primark with both the top and skirt from there, (£13 skirt and £6 top), if you're a big Primark fan like I am then make sure you watch my latest Primark haul! I bought so many great clothing bits and tried them all on for you so if you fancy having a watch then you can do so here. Oh, and whilst you're there I would love it if you would subscribe to my channel too - subscribe here.
My boots are from Next last year which I barely wore when I first got them but have been seriously loving this season! Ankle boots are a total must-have in everyone's wardrobe and I definitely think you need at least one black pair and another brown pair to wear throughout autumn and winter. I'm currently on the hunt for some bigger handbags, ideally that would fit my laptop so I can take my work with my when I go into central London for meetings but I've struggled to find any I really like. Instead, I've been sticking to old favourites like this tan crossbody from discount faves Shoeaholics.
