As much as I love over the knee boots I don't wear them that often, I find they can be quite hard to style, sometimes looking pretty extra for a day in the city. I have tried to incorporate them into my daily looks much more though which has led me to experiment with how I wear my over the knee boots. The most common way being with something short like a mini dress or skirt and whilst I love that look I don't think it's the most wearable day to day. I wanted to experiment a little more with different lengths and seeing how these boots looked.

The rest of my outfit was quite simple, I'm currently splitting my days between wearing lightweight jackets or going all out with my coats (I don't want to start wearing all of my coats too soon otherwise I know I'll really struggle to keep warm throughout the depths of winter!) On this occasion, I decided to wear my New Look biker jacket - which I bought a few weeks ago and has been such a good buy - I haven't bought a new biker/faux leather jacket in a while and this one left me feeling pleasantly surprised! As red is seriously on trend right now, I opted for a cropped jumper in red from Jane Norman, a brand that I heavily associate with being a teenager but you can definitely still find a few gems in there!

These over the knee boots are from Duo Boots and the most perfect fit, you can provide them with your exact calf measurement so you know you'll get the perfect fitting over the knee boots regardless of your shoe and calf size which I think we can all agree is amazing! I have struggled with finding perfect fitting boots as my size 7 foot usually equates to a wider leg but that average doesn't apply to me.
These are the perfect fit for me so I don't need to worry about pulling them up throughout the day which is why I decided to layer them. Come autumn/winter layering is key and there are so many different ways you can layer your looks, even with footwear! I wore a tiered floral midi skirt from Primark which I adore but thought I wouldn't get much wear out of anymore now that the weather in the UK has cooled down considerably. By layering the skirt with a pair of over the knee boots, I can pretty much wear whatever underneath, be it a pair of tights to add some extra warmth or some thermal leggings to keep me feeling extra snuggly on the coldest days.

DeleteLove this look! I had never thought about pairing my over-the-knee boots with a long skirt - I find it quite hard to style while not looking too much actually so it may be a perfect way to tune it down. :)
