A couple of weeks ago I visited Tenerife for the first time; despite being a press trip (we were invited to experience the new Iberostar Sábila hotel which has been recently renovated) this mini getaway was the perfect opportunity to wind down. I took my camera along but barely touched it, only snapping away on my phone but I still wanted to share some of those pictures with you because they are memories after all! Queue all the holiday outfits!

How many summer dresses are too many summer dresses?
SHOP THE LOOK:
I'm wearing head-to-toe Primark because you can't really go wrong with such affordable options like these! Dress £8 and sandals £6 - I featured them in my recent Primark haul which you can watch here.
Beachware
I typically favour bikinis over swimsuits (for tanning purposes obviously) but the weather was quite cloudy whilst we were away so I picked up a few swimsuits which definitely came in handy. This swimsuit is an incredible dupe at a fraction of the price for its designer counterpart costing £200+.
SHOP THE LOOK:
White swimwear can be tricky but I couldn't resist this swimsuit! It's ribbed and made from quite a thick material so I felt pretty safe in it - avoiding any unwanted nudity.
SHOP THE LOOK:
I'm digging the 60's - 70's vibe here, who'd have thought I'd fall for this gingham swimsuit as much as I did?!
SHOP THE LOOK:
A few of my poolside favourites consisting of my holiday read: Eleanor Oliphant is completely fine (a good book, potentially the first I've finished in years, but I was a bit disappointed with the ending).
Some of my poolside essentials included my beach bag which was filled with suncream from Hawaiian Tropics and Elizabeth Arden. Including the Hawaiian Tropics Shimmer Effect which as the name would suggest, gives you a gorgeous shimmery glow and their tanning oil which I applied over the top to speed up tanning - when you've only got 4 days in the sun, this is a must! I also tried Elizabeth Arden suncream for the first time, I used this to protect my face.
As well as, towels, my book and some tech of course - because I'm never without my phone or portable charger. The best and possibly most extra floppy beach hat because when out of office you've got to let the world know! A pair of oval sunglasses which I've been looking for for so long and finally found an affordable pair (only £2!) from Primark and possibly the best pool sliders too!
I love anything high waisted so naturally, I was itching to get my hands on a high waisted bikini and loved wearing this one!

Evening
Our first night was sushi night!
SHOP THE LOOK:
You can't go wrong with a mini dress and I loved wearing this satin-esque number, it's quite short - especially on me - meaning I would probably only wear this abroad but I love it nonetheless!

On our final evening we simply sat and watched the sunset which was gorgeous! I wore yet another midi, this time a white one which despite being gorgeous is incredibly sheer so do keep that in mind. It comes in a number of different colours though so you're bound to find one you love (and I can confirm, the other colours aren't as sheer. I guiltily own this dress in 3 different colours!)

Whatever you choose to call it, a two-piece or a co-ord, you'll need to add at least one to your wardrobe this summer as they're literally everywhere! The best bit? You can create so many different outfits with whichever two pieces you choose.

I wore this dress loads (as you've probably noticed by now), it's just so easy to style in different ways with the help of changing up accessories and shoes.

Good to have your blog back - I’ve missed you whilst you’ve been away. You look great in everything, as usual, but I’m especially loving the high waisted bikini and how nice is that Primark dress for just £8 !! Hope you enjoyed your break xx
